So this past weekend we got to see all of Travis's family...it was a FUN family weekend! Travis, his dad, and my dad attended the Ranger's play off game in Dallas against the Rays....I'm sadden to say the Rangers didn't sweep the Rays...BUT my dad did catch a foul ball!!!
With all the boys gone Joan, Ashley, Ava and I got to have some fun girl time. Last weekend in Abilene they had 'Downtown Dayz'...all the shops, restaurants, and museums were open so we took part in that. We started off at Frontier Texas...and I must say if you haven't been you have GOT to go! It was so neat and a great learning experience about how Abilene was founded! After Frontier Texas we met up with my mom and sister for a wonderful lunch at Cypress Street, followed by a trip to the Grace Museum!

At the Grace we went to the children's museum...and I think little miss Ava really enjoyed it....I know Ashley and I sure did...we might have had more fun than Ava! Ava did get to play dress up and put on a little show for us at The Grace!
Before we headed home we stopped by to see Charlie...our new boxer puppy! Ave got to hold Charlie and see all the other little puppies! Ava was a little scared of Shelby...the momma dog...but boy oh boy was Shelby good with Ava, very mild and gentle, which is reassuring with Charlie!
All in all last weekend was a pretty fantastic weekend! Travis and I so enjoyed seeing his family and spending time with everyone! We look forward to Thanksgiving and Ava's 2nd birthday!!!
